“Hey there! My name is Andi and I have Type 1 diabetes. I was just 8 years old when I was diagnosed and told that my immune system had begun attacking the islet cells on my pancreas. Later in life at 19, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and then at 22, mild psoriasis. Through the continued support of my friends, family, and the wonderful CARE community, I’ve made it a priority to take care of myself: mind, body, and soul. It’s been a battle, to say the least, but I’ve found a little peace in knowing I’m not alone and chronic illnesses can’t hold me back.”
